Mr. Mani Thangaraj is an Aeronautical Engineer and completed his Masters in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. He has worked in the U.K, Saudi Arabia, and India before taking charge as the Academic Director of APC since June 2013. He traveled a very difficult path since the inception of the college in 2013 to make it one of the well-known colleges in Tamil Nadu. During his tenure, Ammaiappar polytechnic college - APC became the best in Academic Performance securing 1st place in the whole of Tamil Nadu State in the year 2016. G. Vigneshwari (III- ECE, Ammaiappar Polytechnic College), secured State First scoring 700/700 in the year 2016.

He is the face of the institution, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision. He is an excellent, influential manager with the ability to motivate and lead the institution towards the realization of its mission. He is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, fundraising, marketing, community outreach, and strategic plan of the institution.

He is the spokesperson of APC and represents the institution in community activities to enhance the institution’s community profile. He oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the institution. He determines staffing requirements and interviews, recruits, and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further APC’s mission.

He recently took charge as the Executive Director in June 2018 and continues to strive for the excellence of the institution.
