ABOUT APC

Established in 2013, Ammaiappar Polytechnic College- APC is located in Virudhunagar district,  Tamil Nadu. APC is approved by AICTE, Delhi, and affiliated to DOTE. Spread in a sprawling campus of 12 acres,  APC aims at providing the students with the best possible teaching resources,  practical exposure, and training methods so that students can shape up their life and career for a challenging world out there. APC is distinct in terms of going the extra mile in identifying and appreciating the emerging talent by awarding them with certificates and cash rewards on top of the prevailing set of scholarships for both academics and sports.

APC houses 5 diploma courses: Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, and Electrical and Communications Engineering and boasts of 7 well-furnished labs, CAD lab, Computer lab, Canteen, and a Gym as well for the more health-conscious students.

APC has been selected by DOTE, Chennai for conducting short term Skill Training Program for rural unemployed youth in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC). APC has completed 2 batches of 3 months duration each. The training program has been designed and developed meticulously with an appropriate curriculum containing adequate practical work to suit the needs of the employers. The successful candidates were given Government Certificates and placed at different firms by the concerted efforts of the Management, Principal,  training coordinator, and program officers.

APC has been awarded as a Centre of Excellence by CADD Centre with whom MoU has been signed for various CADD courses and modeling software.

​

There are 6 NSS Units with round the year work assignments, bi-yearly blood donation camps, and awareness programs for the students.

​

There are 4 house teams: Gladiators, Warriors, Knights, and Spartans with 3 cricket teams: Sachin, Kohli, and Dhoni. APC also boasts of mat Kabbadi which protects players from getting injured and reduces strain. Girl students are also involved in various sporting activities like throw ball, badminton, carom, chess, and tennikoit.

Discipline is the primary focus in Ammaiappar as Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. So we strive for our students towards discipline and character.
